Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how CommissionIQ collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our Services.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: name, email, phone, agency name, NPN, state and password. Billing information: plan, add-ons, payment method (processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers). Customer Data: carrier statements, commission records, policies, clients, splits, hierarchy, and any documents you upload. Carrier/FMO credentials you provide for direct connection are encrypted at rest. Usage data: device, browser, IP, page views, feature usage, error logs.
2. How We Use Information
To provide and operate the Services; to reconcile your commissions and generate reports; to bill you for paid plans and add-ons; to send transactional emails (statement uploaded, missing commission alert, plan changes); to provide customer support; to improve and secure the Services; to comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only with: (a) sub-processors that host and operate the Services (cloud infrastructure, email, payment processor); (b) insurance carriers, FMOs and brokers when you authorize a direct integration; (c) your own organization (your agency owner can see data of sub-agencies and agents under them); (d) authorities when required by law. We do not sell your information.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is 100% secure; you are responsible for protecting your account credentials.
5. Data Retention
Customer Data is retained for the life of your account and for 30 days after account deletion, after which it is permanently deleted unless retention is required by law (e.g. tax records for 1099 preparation).
6. Your Rights
You may access, export, correct or delete your Customer Data at any time from your dashboard, or by contacting us. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and other U.S. states with privacy laws have additional rights including the right to opt out of certain processing.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management and limited analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser without losing core functionality.
8. International Users
The Services are operated from the United States. By using the Services from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated at least 14 days in advance by email or in-app notice.
